Description

Peer Recovery Support Specialist:

The Blick Center is searching for a Part-time Peer Recovery Support Specialist.  This position will be responsible for providing outreach, support and recovery check-ups to older adults struggling with addiction. Work can be done from the office and/or in the community while under the general supervision of a clinical supervisor.

Additional responsibilities will include linking consumers to support groups, treatment programs, and community resources; assisting consumers in crisis situations; and facilitating recovery-oriented group and individual supportive intervention services in conjunction with intensive out-patient/aftercare programming.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required as well as a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and a strong knowledge of 12-Step programs and resources in the community. Experience or prior training is preferred. Must have at least three years of continuous sobriety/clean time and be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening.  

Job Type: Part-time, hourly paid staff
Experience: personal recovery: 3 years (Required)
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
License: Driver's License and Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification is required.
